All new and existing tanks discussed in this training course must be registered with Commerce. For review these include tanks used for the storage of used / waste oil, fuel for emergency generators, CERCLA-classified hazardous liquids, and generators or boilers that use natural gas (NG) or liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) as the primary fuel.

The owner must register a newly-installed storage tank with Commerce within fifteen (15) business days from the date the installation was completed. The registration must be documented by the UST owner using the Underground Flammable / Combustible / Hazardous Liquid Storage Tank Registration form (ERS-7437). The form must be completed and signed by the UST owner and sent to the Department at the address provided at the top of the form.

This form must also be used whenever the UST owner makes a change to an existing storage tank system.
