Fresh Start Program Now Offered in Racine
Opportunities Industrialization Center (OIC Racine) of Racine County, Inc. has agreed to run a Wisconsin Fresh Start program in Racine in partnership with the Department of Commerce. OIC Racine already has a successful Youthbuild youth service program in place, and will now be using the Wisconsin Fresh Start model of service to at-risk youth in running its program. The Center's at-risk youth participants will be earning their basic skills competency or high school equivalent diploma while constructing two to four housing units for low-to-moderate income buyers or renters.
