Wisconsin to Host National SBIR Conference in Milwaukee November 6-9
The 2006 National Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Conference scheduled at the Hilton Milwaukee City Center on November 6-9 is the best opportunity for companies to learn how to compete effectively in the SBIR and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs. The Conference will provide a thorough orientation to all aspects of proposal writing and grant management, technology funding options, and commercialization strategies. It also offers the opportunity for one-on-one meetings with federal program managers, to clarify a company's fit with SBIR/STTR program goals. Each year, the SBIR/STTR programs operated by 11 federal agencies provide over $2 billion to U.S. small businesses developing technology and innovations that address national priorities. Last year, Wisconsin recognized 53 companies that recently secured over $43 million in SBIR/STTR grants and contracts to advance their R&D activities. For more information on the National SBIR Conference, visit: www.sbirworld.com/WI. The web site is now accepting registrations. -- Cheryl Gain |
