Changing of the Guard

"Veteran" intern in the Department of Commerce Office of Communications, Claire Smith (on right), will be leaving Commerce in August for a position in the Communications Office at the Department of Health and Family Services. UW-Madison senior Amanda Buhman, a Journalism/Mass Communication major, has been learning the ropes from Claire to step into her role at Commerce.
WIFront Door Posters Debut

Billboard posters and bus placards are helping to get the word out about Commerce's housing and services website - WIFrontDoorHousing.org. Since the advertisements appeared in Milwaukee, hits to the WIFront Door website increased by over 300 percent.
Platteville "Capital for a Day"

Commerce Secretary Mary P. Burke visits with staff from Avista Corporation, a high-tech firm doing software development for the aeronautical controls industry during the Platteville stop of the Grant and Crawford Counties "Capital for a Day" on July 25.
