Marketplace 2006 Marks 25th Anniversary of Event
![]() Keynote Speaker Glenn Henderson, co-founder and CEO of AFC Worldwide Express Join Governor Jim Doyle for the 25th Annual Governor's Conference on Minority Business Development on September 13, 2006, at the Hilton Hotel in Milwaukee's Civic Center to celebrate and recognize the achievements of the state's minority-owned businesses. Presented by the Wisconsin Department of Commerce and its Bureau of Minority Business Development, Marketplace is the premier MBE business capacity building conference of the year. The conference is an excellent opportunity for minority business entrepreneurs to network, identify and acquire capital, make deals, and advance professional development. The Governor's Awards Luncheon gives Wisconsin's business leaders the opportunity to celebrate the accomplishments of Minority Business Enterprises. This year the Governor welcomes Keynote Speaker Glenn Henderson, co-founder and CEO of Atlanta-based AFC Worldwide Express. After demonstrating a successful track record as an entrepreneur, Henderson co-founded AFC Worldwide Express, Inc. in 1987. Under his leadership the company has been recognized as Vendor of the Year by Hallmark Cards, Inc. for 1993 and 1994. AFC Worldwide Express was also designated as an approved vendor by ACOG for the Summer Olympics in 1996. For more information or to register, visit www.marketplace.wi.gov. -- Amanda Buhman |
