Annual Visit
by Overseas Office Directors
The directors of Wisconsin's overseas trade offices will be in the state May 16-24. Their visit is timed to coincide with the 41st annual Wisconsin International Trade Conference, which will be held in Milwaukee on May 17. They will also be speaking at other events around the state and available for one-on-one appointments. The Wisconsin Department of Commerce has contracted with trade representatives in Canada, Mexico, China, Brazil, and Europe to assist Wisconsin exporters increase their international business. Staff in each of the offices can help a firm evaluate market potential; locate potential agents, distributors, or end-users; meet support service providers in the market such as customs brokers, lawyers, or accountants; and solve export emergencies. The full schedule for the visit has not yet been set, but if you would like to add your name to a list of people to be alerted when more details are available, please send an e-mail to either cstamm@commerce.state.wi.us or jwinner@commerce.state.wi.us. --Stanley Pfrang |
