Single-Family Housing Program Application Training Sessions
The Department of Commerce-Bureau of Housing is making approximately $4.5 million in HOME and ADDI funding available to eligible applicants through an annual competition. The HOME Single-Family Housing (HSF) program combines the HOME Homebuyer and HOME Rehabilitation and Accessibility programs into a single program to assist homebuyers and homeowners. Eligible activities include purchase and rehabilitation assistance for single-family housing to be owned by low-and moderate-income households. The program is designed to provide funding for homebuyers needing assistance with acquisition (down payment and closing costs), acquisition and rehabilitation, or new construction of homes. In addition, the program provides funding for homeowners needing to make essential improvements to their home. Eligible applicants for funds under the HSF program include:
Individual households are not eligible to apply through the competition. Application training sessions will be held at three locations: Tuesday, April 19, 2005 - Rice Lake Wednesday, April 20, 2005 - Stevens Point Thursday, April 21, 2005 - Madison All sessions will begin with Registration at 8:30 a.m. Sessions will run from 8:45 a.m. to Noon.
