Annual Northeastern Wisconsin Global Trade Conference:
Increasing Your Competitiveness
The Wisconsin Department
of Commerce - International Division, as a member of the Northeastern
Wisconsin Global Trade Conference Consortium, is presenting a full-day
international trade conference aimed at both new and experienced
exporters. The conference will take place at the Radisson Paper
Valley Hotel in Appleton on Monday, April 5, 2004. It will offer
three breakout tracks addressing various global trade issues. Keynote
presentations by industry executives and senior federal government
officials will address pertinent global policy issues. Wisconsin
companies already experiencing export success will share their experiences
and effective practices. Last year’s conference was held in Green
Bay with over 330 attendees participating from throughout the state.
The opening keynote address will be given by Charles Dana, President for the Composite Business Solutions Division of Owens Corning Corporation. The luncheon speaker will be Grant Aldonas, Undersecretary of Trade for the U.S. Department of Commerce – International Trade Administration in Washington D.C. Breakout sessions throughout the day will focus on the following:
Experienced professionals from the private and public sectors will address these topics and provide information on how Wisconsin exporters can better understand and take advantage of international opportunities.
