AquaTech Export Success

As a result of its participation in the AquaTech Asia - Exhibition and Trade Mission organized by the Wisconsin Department of Commerce, a Wisconsin firm has reported export successes. AquaTech Asia, an international exhibition and conference on water technology and water management, was held in Bangkok, Thailand, in October 2003. Commerce staff coordinated a Wisconsin pavilion and assisted five state firms with business meetings at the event.

Chris Maeder of Boss International reported receiving six orders for his firm's hydrology and hydraulics software. One of the potential clients is also acting as a local point of contact for other sales. The firm is planning on returning to Thailand to facilitate an engineering training course.

Commerce received a grant from the U.S./Asia Environmental Partnership to help defray some of the companies' costs of exhibiting at the event.
