First, note that Wisconsin's administrative rules are available online with no fee. Those Wisconsin codes that adopt and modify a specific edition of model codes. For Wisconsin codes, you can use this link to take you to the S&B WebSite to view the administrative rules that division staff administer. http://commerce.wi.gov/SB/SB-DivCodesListing.html The Commercial Buildings Program of the Safety and Buildings Division primarily focuses on the model codes created by the International Code Council (ICC). Wisconsin has adopted and modified the International Building Code, International energy Conservation Code, International Mechanical Code, International Fuel Gas Code, and International Existing Building Code as part of the Wisconsin Commercial Building Code, Comm 60-66.. Wisconsin also uses by reference many portions of the International Fire Code within the WCBC. The ICC Web site has a number of electronic code services, some by subscription and some free, http://www.ecodes.biz/ The WCBC also uses the Wisconsin Fire Prevention Code, Comm 14 for the post-construction maintenance and use of commercial buildings. The Wisconsin Fire Prevention Code adopts and modifies the Uniform Fire Code (National Fire Prevention Association 1). Also, the I-Codes used in the WCBC reference countless NFPA codes and standards. The Wisconsin Electrical Code, Comm 16, references another NFPA code, the National Electrical Code.
