What are SMARTcodes?
The International Code Council
is currently developing model checking software that will serve
designers, builders and regulators as a tool to to check building
information models (BIM) against the model codes. The ICC calls this
project "SMARTcodes." Recognizing the potential changes that
building information modeling may bring to the business model
of design, construction and regulation, S&B offers this link to
the SMARTCodes
Web site, to learn more about electronic design and
plan review code checking, and to explore the latest tools and
developments.
