TOMAHAWK - Governor Jim Doyle today announced that Daigle Brothers, Inc. in Tomahawk, Lincoln County, will receive $150,000 in economic development tax credits. Department of Commerce Secretary Richard Leinenkugel made the announcement on behalf of the Governor at the company's Tomahawk facility.

"To grow Wisconsin, we must continue to invest in our economy and foster technology growth, even during these difficult economic times," Governor Doyle said. "Daigle Brothers, Inc. is one example of how these investments can help companies expand and purchase new equipment, which will help them continue to grow and prosper."

"Daigle Brothers has always been a growth company, even in tough economic times" said Steven Daigle, President of Daigle Brothers, Inc. "This is our second project with the Wisconsin Department of Commerce, and we have found the agency to be very supportive in our new ventures."

Daigle Brothers, Inc. provides a wide variety of products and services within the durable goods market, including the fabrication of structural and miscellaneous steel, structural steel and mechanical drafting. Specialty truck racks and beds are additional products. The company also provides custom machining services.

This project includes the construction of a 22,000-sq.-ft. expansion in Tomahawk and the purchase of a CNC Plasma Table and related equipment. Total cost of the project is $2.43 million. The project is expected to create 20 jobs in addition to retaining 38 positions in Wisconsin.
