Governor Doyle Announces Funding For Data Specialists, Inc.

Project to create 36 jobs

MADISON - Governor Jim Doyle today announced that Data Specialists, Inc., Elkhorn, Walworth County, will receive $100,000 in Technology Zone tax credits. The project is expected to create 36 new positions.

"The dairy industry is a major industry in Wisconsin. I am pleased to be able to help DSI grow its dairy software business and create new jobs for hardworking families in Walworth County," Governor Doyle said.

Data Specialists, Inc. (DSI), started in 1975, develops specific software applications for the dairy industry. Software products include programs for managing earnings, production, and distribution. DSI plans to use the funds to purchase new equipment, renovate and add five offices to the Elkhorn facility, and train new staff. Total project cost is $170,000.
