City of Merrill Delegated Responsibility For Erosion Control
For Immediate Release: May 8, 2008 MADISON - Department of Commerce (Commerce) Secretary Jack L. Fischer, A.I.A., today announced that Commerce has delegated the City of Merrill, Lincoln County, an appointed agent to regulate erosion control, sediment control and storm water management for commercial buildings located within the municipality. "The City of Merrill joins more than 190 other state municipalities that have been delegated the authority to perform regulatory activities on behalf of Commerce," Fischer said. "Appointed agents have the responsibility to provide services on behalf of the state as well as their own enforcement activities on commercial buildings within the scope of their delegated authority." Under agent delegation agreement, Darin Pagel will be responsible for regulating erosion and sediment control at public buildings and places of employment for the City of Merrill.
