Wisconsin Diesel Exhaust Retrofit Grant

The Department of Commerce is administering a new U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) grant program to assist heavy-duty diesel truck owners in the procurement of EPA and/or California Air Resources Board verified retrofit technologies. These technologies will maximize the reductions being achieved on trucks that are being outfitted with idle reduction technologies with state funds as well as reduce emissions from trucks that did not receive state funds.

Applications are no longer being accepted.  

Funding Decisions: Commerce is in the process of reviewing applications and will fund those that provide the greatest reductions of emissions in the most cost effective manner.  

The Departement anticipates announcing the awards in late September, 2008.
