7th Annual Northeastern Wisconsin Global Trade Conference
The 7th Annual Northeastern Wisconsin Global Trade Conference will provide business professionals with tools and skills needed to compete in the expanding global marketplace.  The daylong conference – with a theme of “Taking Wisconsin to the World” – will be held Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at the KI Convention Center in Green Bay. The conference is presented in conjunction with U.S. Rep. Tom Petri (R-6th District) and U.S. Rep. Steve Kagen (D-8th District).  Keynote speakers are John Richter, senior vice president, small business, Export-Import Bank of the U.S., and Sarah Macdonald, vice president of global sales and general manager, international division of Appleton Papers.

The conference is designed primarily for CEOs of large and small businesses, business owners, senior management teams, government officials, educators, economic development professionals, and college and university students.  Topics to be covered in seminar sessions include:
  • Export-import documentation and procedures,
  • International forms of payment and risk mitigation,
  • Export compliance,
  • CE marking,
  • Understanding the European Union, and
  • many more.
The individual registration fee is $80 or $70 for individuals who register by March 27.
