BIO Matchmaking
Matchmaking appointments with potential customers, investors, researchers, and joint venture partners from over 60 countries will again be coordinated by the Wisconsin Department of Commerce at BIO, the world’s largest marketplace and idea exchange for the biotech industry.  The 2009 edition of this major trade event will be held in Atlanta, May 18-21, 2009.

To help Wisconsin firms identify key contacts from among the 20,000-plus participants and schedule one-on-one business meetings with international counterparts that may have complimentary interests, the Wisconsin Department of Commerce is offering the International Business Matchmaker (IBM) Service.  Commerce’s international trade offices and other international contacts will be used to create linkages with key players from:
  • Australia,
  • Canada,
  • China,
  • Europe,
  • and more.
The IBM Service is free of charge and will be available during all three days of the conference.  The deadline to register for the appointments is Wednesday, April 1.

Wisconsin attendees that plan to spend time on the show floor and would like to meet with potential international partners, customers and contacts also exhibiting at the show, should contact Ms. Mary Regel, Director of the Bureau of Export Development, mary.regel@wisconsin.gov, (608) 266-1767.
