Osaka Delegation Visiting Midwest
The Representatives of the Japanese city of Osaka will be visiting the Midwest and holding a free business seminar for U.S. businesses and professionals who are interested in future business with Osaka.  The seminar will take place on Thursday, October 16, from 3:00 to 7:00 pm at the Swissôtel Chicago, 323 East Wacker Drive, Chicago.

Osaka and Chicago are celebrating the 35th anniversary of their sister city relationship this year.  The business seminar is intended to be part of the celebration and to extend business relationships between Osaka and the rest of the U.S. Midwest.  Of primary interest to the Osaka delegation are IT vendors and engineering and equipment firms involved in infrastructure projects.  Among the speakers at the seminar will bet Ms. Rebecca Lombardi, Director of Admissions and Marketing from the Entertainment Technology Center of Carnegie Mellon University, which successfully launched a branch in Osaka this March.  Additional information is available from Ms. Cynthia Chang, Assistant Director of the City of Osaka Chicago Office, cynthia_chang@jetro.go.jp, ph: (312) 832-6018.
