China Seeks Suppliers for $200 Million Dairy Project
In January, the Heilongjiang China World Bank Dairy Development Committee met with Wisconsin agricultural businesses as part of their search for suppliers needed for a dairy improvement project with a budget of $200 million. The delegation shared information on the bidding process for the project with equipment and genetics suppliers as well as representatives of the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection.

Subsequent to the January visit, the committee released two invitations for bids. The first is for Dairy Herd Improvement (DHI) milk analysis equipment, milking equipment and feed mixing/blending machinery. Bids are being accepted from February 18 and will be opened March 18 at 10am, Beijing time.

The second bid is for bull semen. This invitation is divided into four separate lots. Bids will be accepted beginning March 20 and will be opened April 4 at 10am, Beijing time.
