Whether you are exploring the
market potential of Japan and China or would like to deepen existing
relationships in either country, the State of Wisconsin Trade Mission
to China is an excellent way to build contacts in these two important
countries.

Who
Should Participate
The Trade Mission to Japan and China is open to business, educational,
and community leaders seeking to increase ties between Wisconsin and
our destination countries. Participants in previous
successful missions have included marketing executives conducting
market research, sales executives seeking to find agents or
distributors, representatives of firms opening up new retail or
distribution facilities, university chancellors and professors desiring
to establish exchange programs, and elected officials and economic
development personnel wanting to promote their community as an
investment site.

Mission
Registration and
Deposit
There is a three-step registration process for the mission. Each individual joining the trade mission must:
1) submit a Registration Form,
2) submit a signed Certification Statement, and
3) pay a Deposit of $1500.

The signed original of the Certification Statement along with a Deposit
check made payable to "Wisconsin Department of Commerce" in the amount of
$1500 should be mailed to:

The $1500 deposit will be applied to your final mission costs and the
Wisconsin Department of Commerce will bill you for the balance due.

Estimated
Mission Costs
Your final costs of participating
in the State of Wisconsin Trade Mission to Japan and China will be
determined by your level of participation. Please note
that the prices quoted below are estimates and are subject to change
pending negotiations with service providers:
Air
Coach class airfare to Japan and China - $2000
Business class airfare to Japan and China - $6670
Coach class airfare to China - $1600
Business class airfare to China - $5703
Hotels
Japan and China (11 nights) - $2215
China (8 nights) - $1600
Basic mission fee*
Japan and China** - $2100 per person
China - $1500 per person

Includes group events/meals, group ground transportation, briefings in
Wisconsin and China, planning, implementation and follow-up of mission
by Wisconsin International Trade Team
** Fee includes
conference fee for the 39th Annual Joint Meeting of The Midwest
U.S.-Japan Association and The Japan - Midwest U.S. Association
conference in Tokyo September 9th-11th.
Additional fees will apply for the following services:
Individualized appointments schedules - Must be reserved by June 18th
Single day of appointments - $685
Second day of appointments in same city - $385
Interpreter/car and driver - $300 per day
Individual ground transportation when traveling outside of the group itinerary
Passport fees and Chinese visa fees
Trade Show Grant
A Trade Show Grant may be available for qualified companies to cover costs of business appointments and interpreters/translations.

of China’s second largest seaport.

Appointment Schedules
For business appointment schedules in Japan or China, please contact

requests will be accepted until June 18. Later requests will be
accepted based upon availability.

Flight
and Hotel Arrangements
Corporate Travel Solutions/American Express is the dedicated travel
agency for the trade mission. Kathleen Marron, Group Sales Consultant,
will assist you with your flight and hotel reservations and can be
reached at (800) 635-5488 or by email at
kmarron@ctsinc.com. The travel agency will coordinate airline and hotel
reservations and arrange
group ground transportation.

Passport
& Visa Requirements
A valid passport is required for travel to both Japan and China.
Please be sure that your passport is valid through March 2008 and has
at least one full blank visa page (not an amendment page). A visa
is required for entry into China. Commerce staff will supply
further details on obtaining a visa at a later date. Other entry
requirements may apply for citizens of countries other than the United
States.

Wisconsin Department of Commerce and the Department of Agriculture
Trade and Consumer Protection, in partnership with the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce
