IMPORTANT: As of July 1st, 2011, functions once performed by the Wisconsin Department of Commerce have been moved to other state agencies and the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation. The former Commerce web site will continue to exist for the next several months as resources are moved to new web site locations. We will make every attempt possible to direct our users to the new locations as web resources are moved.

Focused Trade Missions for Specialty Foods to Asia

The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection is sponsoring trade promotion events in Tokyo, Japan, October 18-21, 2009, and in Seoul, Korea, October 21-24, 2009. In both cities, participating companies will receive a market briefing and store tours as well as one-on-one meetings with importers and distributors at a tabletop display. A seminar on specialty food business trends will be given to buyers by the National Association for the Specialty Food Trade Inc. Companies have the option of participating in one or both city stops. This format has been successful in the past for U.S. companies to meet with interested buyers. For more information contact Lisa Stout, lisa.stout@wisconsin.gov, (608) 224-5126.
