Exporters Recognized by Governor Doyle

Governor's Export Achievement Awards logo Governor Jim Doyle recognized ten Wisconsin businesses and organizations with Export Achievement Awards for their extraordinary results in international sales and their contributions to Wisconsin's increased ability to compete in a global market during the 45th Annual Wisconsin International Trade Conference held May 12, 2009 in Milwaukee.

"These Wisconsin companies serve as excellent examples of how to succeed in international markets," said Governor Doyle. "I am proud to highlight these firms that are proving that Wisconsin can succeed and prosper despite the ups and downs of the global economy."

The Governor's Export Achievement Awards are presented annually to state companies and organizations actively involved in export trade. Criteria include degree of export-related growth; innovative techniques and approaches that resulted in the company's success; and demonstration of extra effort in capturing worldwide markets.

The award winners included:

  • Small Manufacturing Exporter – W.S. Darley & Co. – Chippewa Falls
  • Medium Manufacturing Exporter – Hurd Windows & Doors – Medford
  • Large Manufacturing Exporter – Alliance Laundry Systems – Ripon
  • Manufacturing Exporter Plus – Greenheck Fan Corporation – Schofield
  • Agricultural Exporter – Rosedale Genetics, Ltd. – Oxford
  • Agricultural Exporter Plus – Schreiber Foods Inc. – Green Bay
  • Service Exporter – Paradocs Embryo Transfer, Inc. – Green Bay
  • Small Industrial Exporter – M-B-W, Inc. – Slinger
  • Export Assistance Provider – Madison International Trade Association – Madison
  • Export Assistance Provider Plus– M.E. Dey & Co., Inc. – Milwaukee
