Erosion and Sediment Control Advisory Draft Due this Summer

The erosion and sediment control advisory code council has been meeting to look at code revisions for the Notice of Intent and erosion and sediment control plan review. If adopted, the process will bring the inspection to local experts for one-acre or more disturbed building construction sites. The process will also allow agencies (zoning, land conservation, planning departments, etc.) interested in soil conservation to become involved in the protection of building construction sites from excessive soil loss. The code draft is expected to be available for public comment this summer.
