Wisconsin Company to Receive U.S Department of Commerce (Commercial Service) Export Achievement Certificate

The Export Achievement Certificate was created by the U.S. Department of Commerce to recognize small and medium-sized companies and organizations that have successfully entered the international marketplace for the first time or that have successfully entered a new market. Bachhuber, Mayville, designs and manufactures press automation products used in the metal stamping industry, and is a supplier of precision-machined products for local and international customers.

In October of 2007, after an arduous international sales initiative, Bachhuber Mfg. successfully installed a model 320S servo actuated press Unloader on a customer's metal stamping press in Treuenbrietzen (a town located south of Berlin in former communist territory) Germany. The customer (Stanztech) is a contract manufacturer of metal stampings primarily used in the European automotive industry for customers such as Audi and Volkswagen. Stanztech cost justified their Bachhuber Press Unloader using a traditional return on investment (labor cost savings from industrial automation productivity improvement) approach. Bachhuber's model 320S servo Unloader automated the unloading of a relatively small part from a big die running in a large press at Stanztech.
