IMPORTANT: As of July 1st, 2011, functions once performed by the Wisconsin Department of Commerce have been moved to other state agencies and the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation. The former Commerce web site will continue to exist for the next several months as resources are moved to new web site locations. We will make every attempt possible to direct our users to the new locations as web resources are moved.

Planned Training for the Commercial Building, Multifamily Dwelling, Fire Safety and Fire Protection System Programs

  • Henry Kosarzycki is conducting his 16-week course, Introduction to the Wisconsin Commercial Building Code beginning January 6 at the Village of Kronenwetter Municipal Center, 1582 Kronenwetter Drive, Kronenwetter. The course will run until April 28, 2009.

  • On Thursday, February 12, the BIANEW will hold their Commercial Building Code Update at the Comfort Suites - Rock Garden, 1951 Bond Street in Green Bay.
  • On Thursday, February 26, the NW-WBIA will hold their Commercial Building Code Update at the Holiday Inn - Campus, 2703 Craig Rd. in Eau Claire.
  • The UW's 38th Annual Commercial Building Code Refresher will be taking place at the Alliant Energy Center on John Nolen Drive, just off Hwy 12 & 18. The refresher will run from Monday, February 16 through Wednesday, February 18.
  • On Thursday, March 19, the SW-WBIA will hold their Commercial Building Code Update at The Wintergreen Resort, 60 Gasser Road in Lake Delton.

Several other training programs are now in the planning stages, but those sessions have not yet been set.

Please note that S & B staff is available for training programs tailor-made to fit your needs. Hiring S&B to teach will allow you to train your own work groups, teams, chapter members, and entire departments for less than you might expect to pay for the cost of traditional public seminars.
