Trade Mission Down Under

The Council of Great Lakes Governors (CGLG) will sponsor a multi-industry, multi-state Trade Mission to Australia and New Zealand, March 2-11, 2009. Companies from the Great Lakes Region will travel to Melbourne, Sydney, and Auckland to meet with potential distributors, representatives, and key industry contacts in their relevant sectors. The mission will include business briefings, networking functions, pre-screened one-on-one business appointments, market information, as well as logistical support throughout the trip. Whether a firm is already doing business in Australia and New Zealand or exploring the export potential of these markets, this trade initiative will help firms build connections in this important region. The Wisconsin Department of Commerce has worked with the CGLG Office in Sydney on several occasions, including a similar trade mission in 2006. Wisconsin firms interested in joining in the mission should contact Susan Dragotta, Commerce Outreach Consultant for Southeast Wisconsin, susan.dragotta@wisconsin.gov, (262) 691-5147.
