Governor Doyle Welcomes AlliedPanels to Wisconsin

MADISON - Governor Jim Doyle recently announced that AlliedPanels, LLC, will receive $250,000 in Technology Zone tax credits to help with locating its first U.S. plant in Madison. The company will invest more than $2.2 million in the project, creating up to 56 jobs in Wisconsin over the next five years.

"One of my top priorities is to help move industries, companies, and communities forward, and create good-paying jobs for our citizens," said Governor Doyle. "I'm pleased that AlliedPanels has chosen to locate in Wisconsin, and that we could assist the company in bringing new jobs to Dane County and retaining jobs statewide."

"Establishing a strong presence in the U.S. is key to the strategic growth of AlliedPanels," said Hansjörg Weisskopf, owner and CEO of AlliedPanels. "Already a center for the healthcare industry, Wisconsin and the Madison area provide the perfect business environment for us. The great support of state and city officials helped to confirm our decision to set up the AlliedPanels U.S. office in Madison, Wisconsin."

AlliedPanels is the U.S. subsidiary of the Austrian engineering and manufacturing firm, AlliedPanels, GmbH. They began operations in 2000 in Austria and employ 100 people in Austria, Minsk, Belarus, and now Madison. They developed and contracted to build keyboards to customer specifications before expanding into medical equipment, mostly building ultrasound imagers.
