Wisconsin ServicePoint

An HMIS for Wisconsin

An HMIS is a Homeless Management Information System, a computerized data collection tool specifically designed to capture client level systemwide information over time on the characteristics and service needs of men, women, and children experiencing homelessness. The WI site is called WI ServicePoint or WISP for short.

  Regions

In order to facilitate regional use of statistics from WISP, the Steering Committee assisted the WISP staff in dividing the state into reporting regions. The 3 counties that are separate Continua of Care(CoC) were maintained, and the remaining 69 counties that are part of the Balance of State CoC were divided into regions at the county level (with the exception of Winnebago which was split into north and south). Many of the WISP standard reports can now be created using these regional summaries.
