National Entrepreneurship Week 2009 During the week of February 21 - February 28, 2009, a celebration of Wisconsin's entrepreneurial spirit will once again be recognized in support of National Entrepreneurship Week 2009. The focus of this year's celebration includes the importance of entrepreneurship education. National Entrepreneurship Week 2009 provides an opportunity to focus on the innovative ways in which enterpreneurship education can bring together the core academic, technical and problem-solving skills essential for our future enterpreneurs. Department of Commerce Secretary Richard J. Leinenkugel encourages all organizations to join in the recognition of National Entrepreneurship Week by planning their events now. With the theme New Ideas for a New Generation, entrepreneurial assistance partners will find planning resources available from the Consortium for Education Excellence's web site at http://www.nationaleweek.org. To build on the momentum of the last two year's successful week-long entrepreneurial celebration, the Department is once again interested in promoting participating organizations' activities by listing them on its Events Web Site. The Department is also interested in hearing from organizations that participated in last year's National Entrepreneurship Week. Organizations are encouraged to email us highlights of the entrepreneurial activities your organization celebrated in 2008. Emails can be sent to Carol.Dunn@wisconsin.gov.
