Staff in the Division of Business Development

The Division of Business Development houses staff in four bureaus.

  • Bureau of Business Development
Area Development Managers, the primary business contacts, assist business expansions and promote business retention in their respective territories. Click here for a map of regions within the state.
  • Bureau of Business Finance

Grant specialists work with Area Development Managers to establish the level of financing for each project.  

  • Bureau of Entrepreneurship

Entrepreneurship provides assistance for small businesses, the Small Business Clean Air Assistance Program, and the Small Business Ombudsman. The Bureau also plays a key role in the oversight of Commerce's state-wide Revolving Loan Fund (RLF). 

  • Bureau of Minority Business Development

Minority Business Development provides consultation and services to minority business owners, entrepreneurs, and resource organizations, helping to foster the growth of minority businesses in Wisconsin.
